“Critters” is an investigation into the logic of form and the ways in which it might imply behaviors and environments. Each Critter is an ambivalent object bounded by two abstract animal profiles. These identities dissolve, shift, and recombine into new figurations as one’s position relative to the Critter changes, but a sense of animalness persists. Here, form is both logical and evocative—a cross between Boolean operations and bouillon cubes, or the geometry of logic and the geometry of flavor.
